A Fundação Cultural de João Pessoa (Funjope) inicia, a partir do domingo (28), às 17h, no Espaço Cultural José Lins do Rego, uma série de atividades em comemoração ao Dia Internacional da Dança, lembrado em 29 de abril, e ao aniversário da Companhia Municipal de Dança de João Pessoa. A programação inclui a 3ª Mostra de Dança de João Pessoa, com a participação de 15 escolas de dança e da Companhia de Dança de João Pessoa. A entrada é gratuita.
“Essa ação faz parte de um momento de celebração e de forte estímulo que damos à dança da cidade de João Pessoa. Quando nós criamos, em 2021, a nossa Companhia Municipal de Dança, foi exatamente com esse objetivo de dar maior visibilidade à arte da dança na cidade”, pontua o diretor executivo da Funjope, Marcus Alves.
Agora, segundo ele, é o momento de comemorar conquistas da Companhia, mas, sobretudo, de agregar valor aos estúdios de dança, às escolas de dança que existem na cidade e que, muitas vezes, o poder municipal não acolhia. “Nós vamos comemorar o Dia da Dança com essas escolas, facilitando apresentações para seus alunos, mas, sobretudo, mostrando a força e a vitalidade que tem a nossa Companhia Municipal de Dança”, diz.
E acrescenta: “Nós estamos também levando a dança para os polos, democratizando todo o trabalho da Companhia Municipal de Dança, como o próprio conceito, a linguagem da dança nas comunidades, nos bairros, nos polos com os quais nós trabalhamos”.
A programação deste domingo (28) conta com uma aula de ballet clássico, para os grupos que vão se apresentar, com o renomado bailarino Luzemberg Santana, a partir das 17h. Ele já participou de grandes companhias de dança internacionais e hoje compõe a equipe da Funjope.
Stella Paula Carvalho, que coordena a Companhia Municipal de Dança de João Pessoa, comemora: “Quando realizamos um sonho, ele tem que ser comemorado sempre. Desde a criação da Companhia, temos uma super gratidão ao prefeito Cícero Lucena, a Tathiana Rangel – idealizadora do projeto, a Marcus Alves e a Antônio Alcântara e, ao mesmo tempo, uma necessidade de retribuir esse grande presente para a dança de João Pessoa”, afirma.
A coordenadora diz que a Companhia de Dança se apresenta em vários eventos, tornando essa arte mais acessível a cada dia, mas nunca fez uma Gala em um teatro para presentear o público em geral. “Agora, surgiu essa oportunidade e estamos preparando uma noite linda, mostrando um resumo do trabalho da Companhia nesses três anos. Vai ser lindo”, promete.
Ela conta que os bailarinos e bailarinas vão apresentar um número do coreógrafo Marcelo Pereira, que atualmente mora na Suíça. “Vamos reunir a Companhia Municipal de Dança de João Pessoa, com 15 escolas de dança da rede privada para um super encontro em comemoração a esse dia tão importante”, destaca. A Companhia de Dança de João Pessoa vai apresentar quatro coreografias e irá intercalar com as coreografias das escolas participantes.
Entre os trabalhos que serão apresentados na mostra está o solo de repertório do bailarino Gabriel Morais, que conquistou o terceiro lugar no Festival de Dança de Joinville, em 2023, e a coreografia TempoRamor, do premiado bailarino Lucas Mendes, de São Paulo.
A comemoração do aniversário da Companhia Municipal de Dança de João Pessoa vai contar com atividades entre os dias 4 e 10 de maio, envolvendo apresentações, aulas de ballet clássico, aulas de jazz, danças contemporâneas e danças urbanas.
